This course is a prerequisite for all availible courses except the Art History course. It covers a variety of 2-dimensional media and dabbles in 3-D media. Students will explore the Elements of Art and an overview of the History of Art.

This course offers an Honors section. In this course students will apply learned skills from their previous courses, Art I and II. A continued focus on producing original, imaginative art work should be expected, as well as time to experiment with a variety of painting media, including, watercolors, acrylic, and oil paints.
This course offers an Honors section. In this course students will apply learned skills from their previous courses, Art I, II, and III. A continued focus on producing original, imaginative art work that is more complex and includes a personal choice of the media used. Students will experiment with drawing, mixed media art, clay, and will look closer at acrylic paints.
This course offers an AP section. While in this course students will delve deeply into the History of Art throughout the ages. They will investigate master works, learn to anaylze, talk about, and write about the pieces. In this course students will not only strengthen their understanding of Art, but also their literacy skills.
